My work is rooted in understanding the deep connections between humans, animals, and the environment. That curiosity began years ago and has shaped every step of my career path. I earned my bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Stetson University in DeLand, Florida, followed by a master’s in Social Work with a concentration in Ecological Justice and a certificate in Human–Animal–Environment Interactions. These experiences taught me how closely our wellbeing is tied to the world around us, and how small, intentional actions can create ripple effects far beyond what we see.

Inspiration for this Site
Although I now live in Colorado, surrounded by mountains and open sky, my heart has always belonged to the ocean. Being far from it inspired me to find new ways to give back — to help others reconnect with nature, no matter where they live. That’s how Wandering Wave began: as a way to bring conservation education to everyone, from anywhere.
Conservation can feel complicated or overwhelming. Between the science, the data, and the global scale of the issues, it’s easy to feel like one person can’t make a difference. But I believe that understanding — even in simple, approachable ways — leads to action. My goal is to make learning about conservation fun, visual, and easy to understand, while showing that even small choices matter.
This site is for anyone who wants to learn — especially young adults who care about animals, people, and the planet but aren’t sure where to start. Through stories, visuals, and interactive learning, I hope to help others see how everything connects.
At the heart of it all is One Health — the idea that the health of people, animals, and the environment are deeply intertwined. You’ll find an infographic below that breaks it down in a simple way, with hover-over notes to explore each connection. Because when we see how we’re all linked, we begin to understand how every small action can protect the bigger picture.
No matter where you live — mountains, city, or coast — you can make waves for the planet. 🌎
